We Have a Court Date!

We are happy today!

Merrily, our agency director, emailed today to tell us that our court date for B. is June 24th! We are so excited to be moving toward bringing B. home. We were hoping for an earlier date, but I can say that I completely believe in God's sovereignty and I know that His timing is always perfect. Our earnest prayer is that we will make it through court on the first try. There are numerous small things that can go wrong, and with our three previous adoptions, each one failed court at least once.

Now that we have a court date, we can begin to think about when we will travel, but it is much too soon to start booking flights. Merrily reminded me that I might as well wait patiently because it happens just as quickly as if I wait impatiently. She is a wise woman.

I spent the afternoon cleaning out our homeschool cabinet and putting books for next year in place. It was especially fun looking through the books Ladybug will be reading next year for Sonlight, they are some of our favorites! Sweet Pea is already stealing them off the shelf. We never grow tired of Shadow Spinner or Seven Daughters and Seven Sons, two of our favorite read-alouds.
